Crazy idea. Refait is a remake of the football WorldCup match between France and Germany (Seville, Spain, 1982). Shot by Pied La Biche in Villeurbanne (France), every aspect of the fifteen last minutes of the match was carefully reconstructed: players, positions, gestures, intensity, drama etc.

Have a look at the video (here just the trailer) for the latest Gorillaz single, just published, as the third single from the 'Plastic Beach' album. The track is called "On Melancholy Hill". It is pure entertainment to see, how director Jamie Hewlett mixes different animation styles.

The soccer world cup seems to be an inspiration for data visualization: I am a fan of the online activities of Guardian.co.uk for years now. And again its editors prove their online affinity by this dynamic visualisation: it is a high-speed replay of the World Cup, showing how Twitter reacted to every game.
